the machine is a symbol for the worst characteristics of human beings:
ignorance, greed, extravagance, repression, denial, shirking responsibility

to stop the devastation of the machine
caused and strengthened by these flaws
human beings should always strive to act virtuous
not only would the individual benefit greatly from it, but everyone else
in an environment like this there would be no room left for destructive behaviour
but encouragement and bliss
